Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester (DB/ERP) to join our team for a critical migration project involving enterprise ERP systems. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in manual testing, SQL, and data validation. Prior experience working on client-server based ERP systems (in-house or commercial like SAP) and technology migration projects is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing focused on data validation and integrity across systems.
- Execute comprehensive SQL queries to validate large datasets before and after migration.
- Understand complex database schemas and ensure proper mapping and transformation.
- Validate business logic, workflows, and data integrity in the ERP system.
- Collaborate closely with developers, DBAs, and business analysts to clarify requirements.
- Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies.
- Contribute to the development of test cases, test plans, and test data.
- Participate in system and integration testing related to ERP modules.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in manual testing with strong SQL skills.
- Proven expertise in data validation, data comparison, and migration testing.
- Experience working in ERP environments, ideally client-server based systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle ERP, or custom/in-house ERP).
- Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, stored procedures, joins, and indexing.
- Hands-on experience with data migration from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
