Upgraded and tested the client’s service card to process Syslog messages using an MS-MPC card

Business Scenario One of our US-based clients, a manufacturer of networking equipment and high-performance Internet Protocol network products, wanted to test its new service card MS-MPC for MX Series routers. Their existing service card MS-DPC sent Syslog messages to an application called LCNAT solution, which was processing those Syslog messages and generating output logs. But they are required to use MS-MPC service cards with a router for sending Syslog messages.

Client’s Challenges

·        The client wanted to test its new service card MS-MPC for MX Series routers.

·        Their existing service card MS-DPC sent Syslog messages to an application called LCNAT solution, but they were required to use MS-MPC service cards with the router for sending Syslog messages.

Hexaview’s Solution

Hexaview performed the following activities:

·        Enhanced the solution with the implementation of a new service card MS-MPC.

·        Upgraded the existing LCNAT solution to process the Syslog messages generated by the new service card.

·        Built a patch solution to uplift the current LCNAT solution installed on collector’s hardware.

·        Developed an application for log management and end-to-end data processing

Impact of the implementation

·        Client’s effectiveness and efficiency increased multiple times with our solution

Key Success Factors

·        We took continuous feedback from the client during and after the development to improve the product.

·        We are flexible to incorporate our client’s last-minute changes without any additional cost impact on them.

·        Developed a patch solution to upgrade the current LCNAT solution installed on collector’s hardware.

·        Developed an application for log management and end-to-end data processing.
